Veterinary Technician / Experienced Assistant

Healthy Paws Animal Hospital has seen the explosive growth that nearly all in the veterinary profession have experienced. We recognize that we have a commitment to our patients and want to do our very best for them. We want to be able to see them not only for their preventative care visits, but also when they aren’t feeling their best. In order to do that we have to grow our team to meet that demand.
We currently have 3 DVMs and with such tremendous demand, are looking for additional support staff to be able to serve our quickly growing number of patients. We practice low stress handling and promote fear free vet visits. Our focus is to help both clients and pets have a positive, fear-free experience during all visits and interactions.
The ideal candidate for any position must have a positive attitude and be motivated to provide an excellent experience for both the client and patient with every interaction. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients and team members is a must. Candidates must be able to problem solve, think on their feet, and multi-task in a fast paced environment. They must be organized, ethical, and personable. They must be able to manage and organize the flow of appointments and client communications. Candidates should have a desire and interest in continuing their education to be able to provide gold standard medicine for their patients. Registered technicians are preferred but candidates with experience will also be considered.
Full time hours would be 36-40hrs/week, and would require flexibility to the needs of the hospital, including 1-2 Saturdays/month.
Candidates must be able to lift 40 pounds. RVT’s must hold a license in good standing.

Client education and communication is a must. We provide traditional services as well as integrative services including acupuncture, medical massage, and laser therapy. House call services are available as well.
Experience with eVet veterinary software is a plus!
Compensation will be based upon experience. We have a benefits package that includes, but is not limited to: paid holidays, PTO, personal pet discount, CE reimbursement, and provided uniforms.

All staff must wear a mask in the building at all times. One, masked client is allowed in the building with their pet for doctor’s appointments. Our lobby is closed. Clients remain in their vehicles while waiting for a cleaned exam room to be available.
Veterinary Hospital Custodian
Healthy Paws Animal Hospital takes pride in its appearance and is seeking a dependable, detail oriented individual to help maintain the hospital’s high standards of cleanliness.
Schedule would be Monday – Friday, 11 AM – approximately 5:30 PM, with a mid-shift, 30 minute, unpaid break. Approximately 30-35 hours per week.
The role of this position is primarily janitorial. This role will involve very little direct animal contact.
No experience required.
Duties will include mid-day and end of day cleaning (sweeping, mopping, trash collection, and sanitation), laundry, cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms between appointments, cleaning animal kennels, cleaning surgical instruments, bathroom cleaning, window cleaning, dusting, restocking supplies, and other tasks as assigned. Little to no outdoor activities.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds routinely, 36-49 pounds occasionally, and 50 plus pounds with assistance. Must be able to be on your feet the majority of your shift. Exposure to a number of chemicals during cleaning duties. Protective equipment is provided. Exposure to strong odors occurs frequently.
